SPOUT - Acoustic (Storytellers) Show!
Radio Cafe
Nashville, TN

Well, this has been talked about forever... what exactly are the songs in reference to?  Who are they about?  What were you eating when you came up with that?  How big is your..?

No actually, I had promised that I'd eventually have a get together (most likely drunken) and talk about the songs, but time wouldn't allow.... so now there was no excuse...  it's booked!

This was fun.  We decided to do an acoustic show and hold it at the kick-ass Radio Cafe.  It was a packed house and it was a real treat to hear some of these songs how we've never played them before.         ..... in tune!
sorry, I'm in a joking mood.

We decided to make it an old school night mostly.... where we did some songs that we never get a chance to play anymore.  This was a night for the die hard old school fans.  It's funny saying that.... its not like we've been together 15 years or anything, but our style and sound has seemed to morph through influence of music and just the experience of life itself......

We had some guys out who were filming the show for a future DVD.

We debuted one of our new songs "Suicidal Idol" to an awesome response and just wait 'till you hear it plugged in - the way it's meant to be played!

We did a fun new version of an ancient song "Thirty" (I may like it this way even better personally)... half time, a bit more lyric-driven and not-so-punked out.  I failed to mention that the song is making fun of the fact that when you're young you pick an age that seems old.... then you gain a few years.... and the age that you think is old keeps being pushed back further and further....    fuck it.  90 is old.    If you can star in a porn at 88 these days.... then we're all young at heart......         and sick in the head.

Thanks to all who came out and made this night such a cool one.  and thanks to Automusic who gave us something to ponder the next day!  Are famous people really smarter than us?  :)
