The first show of 2005.
2005 is the year of change for Spout. Not just new
songs/new goals/new labels to showcase for/ new guitars/ new attitudes/ new
perspective/ new enthusiasm/ new shows/ new spout t-shirts/ new
stickers/ new interest/ new studio/ new album/ but holy shit 2
new members. The idea of change was hard to get used to at
the very beginning.... then once that initial "shock" is over and you
start to accept it, once more change comes your way... you start
to welcome it.
Time off was great for some
fresh perspective... long overdue time for writing... and
of course a butt-load of auditions. Well as of now,
both positions I am happy to say have been filled!
No
announcements just yet... but we took our time to make sure if
we were going to have to go through this process, that we were
going to get what we wanted out of it! 2 bad-asses who
could help take this music to a new level.
This show felt magical and a major thanks to Brad for such
wonderful sound. Damn, I love the END and can't wait to get
back there playing with the new line-up and fully rocked out.
We performed 2 brand new ones that we are going to record that
we are very excited about.. and wow did we love your response! -
We also performed Last Night, Sentimental Sickness, and Amazing
Disgrace. I totally dig performing acoustic when it's just Chad and
I with two guitars and two vocals. You hear the songs at
their most naked and pure state! Most of you would
expect me to make the "naked and pure" joke, but it's
just too easy.
I immediately think of Chad's wedding party and us out on the
deck playing to such a happy and emotional crowd. It was
magic then, and I felt a part of that with us on this night.
Thanks to Return To Self for being such awesome people (and
performers) and Big Jim Slade I've always known to kick some
ass! What a great line up. All the bands were
awesome.
Thanks to those who supported us by being the first the own the
brand new 2005 Spout Shirts! We think they kick ass and
know that you'll look good wearing them. How many other
bands do you know that actually make their own shirts? and no I
don't mean just "designed it" themselves, nah... - I mean designed it, built
the screen, ink'd the shirts with their own hands, heat pressed it
on hands and knees, you name
it..
WE CARE,
MOTHERFUCKERS,
WE CARE..
HERE'S TO A FRESH EXCITING AND A VERY NEW YEAR.
