In the famous words of Johnny Cash, who died
this week.... "I'm goin' to Jackson, look out Jackson
town"
Jackson, TN. The place to be.
Mucho enthusiasm. Mucho hospitality.
I love playing Jackson. The people there are very kind and
simply love to rock. It's a wild town, you can't deny
that... but to me, that is part of it's appeal.
Of course, we headed back there with our good buddies, Love Over
Gravity. We played our set, and mentioned that we would be
selling cd's of our soon to be available album that night for
the very first night!
We broke out some spout oldies.... had planned to do a few more
but we dropped one or two at the last minute.
L.O.G came on and played a great set as the lovely jacksonians
started to buy me all kinds of free "u-name-it" from
the bar.
After a while of hanging out and rocking out, Danny from l.o.g.
invited us at different times to sit in on a song or
two.... which is starting to be commonly referred to
as SPLOG. We jammed on completely random stuff and even
jokingly started a version of Black by Pearl Jam, and it ended
up pretty damn cool. Why stop there? As said
on the board, there was Spout over Aimee, Love over Sean, you
name it. It was fun. We even did a version
of our song "What I've Already Done", or as l.o.g
calls it, "The holy water song!", with Greg from
l.o.g. sitting in.
If you didn't catch this show, you basically missed seeing two
bands doing what you don't see too often , and that's simply
having FUN playing music with each other.
