AUGUST 30 - 2003

HARD ROCK CAFE
MEMPHIS, TN
DINGOFEST IV!

Dingofest.... an annual rock and roll festival held in Memphis.  This year we were invited to be a part of it and play the Hard Rock Cafe.  The sound was GREAT! :)  You could hear everything! The drums were massive.  I could hear vocals on stage....  big props to the soundman at the hard rock.  The venue was great and the people there were very responsive...the peeps who work there bought an autographed CD, and asked us to come back.  We made new fans in Memphis, and that's all we set out to do.

People kept coming up to me saying they had heard our music as part of a bekkerrock compilation cd that I'm told features our song, "amazing disgrace" as the first track - which is available throughout Memphis and Jackson.  Thanks to bekker for supporting spout.

and thanks to all those who came out and saw us in Memphis.

I hear some guy when ballistic because he had parked himself into a trapped situation of cars behind the hard rock and had to rush home to his pregnant wife.  He drove over a fence and smashed into the truck in front of my car and he left.  Thank god I didn't get there any earlier and park one space up.

After the show, the sound man let me hear a recording he did of the show and said he'd send us a copy.

After that, it was time to head down the street to the New Daisy.  We missed our friends (l.o.g)'s show, but we did stick around to experience a song from "The Dirty Skanks" who are from Texas and use more props than Carrottop!.   It's like,  Gwar meets Kiss meets Weird Al.  We had to stick around and at least see a song by them.

Memphis was a blast.
On the ride home, I got to drive by Sun Records!
Goodbye Sam Phillips, we'll miss you.

Now its back to Nashville for our live radio broadcast performance.
