What an adventure. Thanks to Felch, from Live and Local for coming
out and enjoying the show. Love over Gravity played a great
acoustic set and we came on and rocked dat ass for a few hours!
After countless requests for Alan Jackson and George Straight, which Big
B was kind enough to contribute, the night very quickly began to really
rock.

Testosterone vs. Spout
This website has always been devoted to the honesty of the good and bad
experiences we've had at spout shows. This night was full of good
and ended with a shocking dose of the opposite!
Here we are, at the end of the show, with a crowd of people dancing and jumping and
yelling our songs, a dude who works there gives Kelly the "last
song" gesture. So I ask Kelly on the mic, "did we get the
signal, Kelly?"...
and he said "Yeah, I think we can only do one more"... then
the dude who works there says "No - that was your last
one" as he's walking away. Immediately the audience is booing and chanting
"one more song" and "encore". So I start
the sweet home Alabama riff and start adlibbing "I'd like to thank
Baker Boys for having us tonight.. .. we are spout.." and having
the audience join in on chanting the website name and such. Basically, a
goodbye - thanks for coming out - jingle. So then we get off stage, and while people are
walking up telling us how much they thought we rocked, the same guy who
works there, Tate, walks up and says to me (stay-c):
"Hey Chicken Shit, are you scheduled here next week?"
I said, " no, why?"
He says, "Because you'll never play here again"
I said, "why?"
"You showed me disrespect" (is this
the fucking sopranos?)
"I told you that was the last song and you played another
one", he said.
I said, " we played a riff and said goodnight to everyone! plus
they were all cheering for us to play one more"
"Well, that's okay..... just know that you'll never play here
again."
With the crowd on our side, (which is all the matters), we said our
goodbyes! :)
Spout shall prevail, and we hold no hard feelings to the
establishment itself. :)
Just another adventure in the spout tour diary. :)
Let the record show, this show kicked ass. :)
